Started on the farm side of the feed delivery problem
SK Farm Systems is a young company building the Smart Bin Opener. Our goal is a feed-bin system that keeps drivers on the ground, gives farms control over who opens their bins, and leaves a clear record of every opening.
Our story
The idea came from Jake Koepke's work in the swine industry. Every feed delivery means someone has to open the bin, and that someone is often a driver who has just come from another farm. Many bins are still opened at the top of a ladder. Most farms also have no simple record of which bin was opened, when, and by whom.
Jake brought the idea to Justin Sell. They started SK Farm Systems to build a practical answer: a lid opener at the bin, and software that handles access and record keeping.
We are launching with the swine industry and plan to serve poultry later.
Where we are today
- The Smart Bin Opener hardware and software are in development.
- The mobile app is on Google Play, and an Apple App Store version is planned.
- Farms, feed mills, and delivery companies can request a demo or tell us they're interested in a pilot program.
- SK Farm Systems is an early-stage company. We plan to incorporate as a C corporation.
