The product
What is the Smart Bin Opener?
It's a system in development that opens feed-bin lids remotely. A lid opener mounts on the bin, and a web and mobile app lets authorized drivers and farm staff open and close lids, manage access, and review a log of activity.
Is it available now?
Not yet. The hardware and software are still in development and testing. You can request a demo or tell us you're interested in the pilot program.
Who is it for?
Swine farm owners and operators, feed mills, and feed delivery companies. We are launching with the swine industry and plan to serve poultry later.
How does it communicate and get power?
The opener communicates over cellular. We plan to add GPS and Wi-Fi. It's designed to run on farm-supplied low-voltage power, and a solar and battery option is in development.
What happens if someone opens a lid by hand?
The system is designed to detect a lid opened without the app and log it as a manual-override opening. It records that the opening happened and when. It doesn't identify who opened the lid.
Will it work with my bins?
Bins vary by make, age, and lid design, and we're still developing the hardware. Tell us about your bins when you request a demo, and we'll discuss fit directly.
Does it prevent disease?
No product can promise that, and the Smart Bin Opener hasn't been studied for its effect on disease. Published research and industry guidance support keeping delivery people and vehicles away from animal areas and keeping good delivery records. The system is designed to support those practices as part of a farm's own biosecurity plan. See our research summaries.
The app & accounts
Where can I get the app?
The mobile app is on Google Play, and an Apple App Store version is planned. Existing users can also sign in on the web through Customer Login.
How do I get an account?
Accounts are set up for the farms, mills, and delivery companies using the system. If you think you should have access, ask your organization's administrator or contact us.
How do I request deletion of my account or data?
Use the contact form and choose "Privacy / Account Deletion Request." Submitting the form doesn't delete your account automatically. We'll review the request, may need to verify your identity, and will follow up by email. The Privacy Policy explains the process.
Demos, pilots & pricing
What happens in a demo?
An intro conversation about your operation, then a walkthrough of the software. We'll show hardware as development and availability allow. More about demos.
How do I express interest in the pilot program?
Choose "Pilot Program Interest" on the contact form and tell us about your sites. We'll follow up by email.
How much does it cost?
Pricing isn't published. We discuss it directly with each operation, so ask about it when you request a demo.
